The Rise of the Amateur Professional
Apr 16th
In this deceptively casual talk, Charles Leadbeater weaves a tight argument that innovation isn’t just for professionals anymore. Passionate amateurs, using new tools, are creating products and paradigms that companies can’t. He describes the rising role of serious amateurs (“Pro-Ams,” as he calls them) through the story of the mountain bike.
Running Time : 19 Minutes. (excellent thought provoking talk)

My First Time Experiencing Information Overload.
Mar 20th
Dizzy, Confused, Hot, Cold, Spinning Out, Fried Brain. I’ve heard about this and didn’t believe it to be true, that with the internet is capable of offering so much information that sometimes it is too much for the human mind. Internet Information Overload. Yesterday, I actually experienced it for myself.![]()
I am presently working on the soft launch of my site and I am busy ironing out all the wrinkles, and moving into the the next phase of starting to let people out there aware of my existence by joining all the social networks and building communities. Then all of a sudden I’d slipped from doing a couple of tasks at the same time, to about twenty things simultaneously. Sounds impossible, but somehow I was reading 3 ebooks, several blogs and websites whilst working on some graphics and typing an email and word document all at the same time.
Out of the blue, it was like something popped inside my brain. Sudden major mind meltdown, I couldn’t think I was dizzy and really felt physically effected . ):
Twenty minutes sitting down and some fresh air and I was fine again. (:
I am an information hungry guy, but I learned that sometimes I need to slow down. Concentrate on completing a few tasks at a time and to stop being greedy, if you put to much food on your plate you’ll never be able to eat it all and enjoy it properly. Easier to say than do.
